Nissan Silvia S13 / 180SX RPS13 Kanto Seiki Cluster with 280 KM/H Full-Scale Speedometer – Used

This is a genuine used Nissan/Kanto Seiki instrument gauge cluster for selected Nissan Silvia S13 / PS13 and Nissan 180SX RPS13 applications. The cluster retains the original Nissan/Kanto Seiki housing, rear flexible circuit board, factory-style gauges and warning indicators, and is fitted with a rare 280 km/h full-scale speedometer.

The 280 km/h speedometer is the main feature of this cluster. Standard Japanese-market Silvia S13 and 180SX models were normally equipped with a 180 km/h speedometer, so this 280 km/h unit should be considered a period aftermarket/full-scale speedometer conversion rather than a standard factory JDM 280 km/h cluster. The exact manufacturer of the 280 km/h speedometer face/unit is not confirmed, so it is not being advertised as NISMO, TOMEI, IMPUL or any other specific tuning brand.

The rear of the cluster has the original blue flexible printed circuit board with visible NISSAN and KANTO SEIKI markings together with the circuit reference 52F00. The cluster also includes a HICAS warning indicator, making it consistent with S13-generation Nissan instrument-cluster applications equipped with or prepared for Nissan’s HICAS system.

Condition

This is a used vintage item and shows visible signs of age, previous installation, handling and storage. The clear lens has scratches, marks and normal surface wear. The black and white plastic housings also show age-related wear, marks and discoloration. Some original labels on the rear housing are heavily aged, damaged or partially missing. There is also visible wear around the mounting points and normal aging of the rear circuit board, bulb holders, sockets and connectors.

Compatibility

This cluster is intended for selected Nissan Silvia S13 / PS13 and Nissan 180SX RPS13 applications. It is especially relevant to SR20-generation S13/180SX builds; however, Nissan used different instrument clusters depending on production date, engine, transmission, HICAS/2WS specification, wiring configuration and destination market.

The visible 52F00 marking is on the rear circuit board and is provided as an identification reference only. It should not automatically be treated as the complete Nissan assembly part number for the entire cluster.

The 280 km/h speedometer should not be represented as a standard factory Nissan 280 km/h JDM cluster. The original Nissan/Kanto Seiki cluster components and rear circuit board are genuine, while the 280 km/h speedometer is believed to be a period aftermarket/full-scale conversion.

Also note that fitting a 280 km/h speedometer does not by itself remove or modify any factory electronic speed limiter. Speedometer indication and vehicle speed-limiter functions are separate systems.
